Who am I?
I am Dmytro Skryzhevskyi, a software engineer and a hands-on problem solver for complex business systems. I build and improve enterprise software where reliability, performance, and maintainability matter more than buzzwords. I work on software that has to function under real operational pressure.
My main interest is practical software design: how to structure systems so teams can deliver business value consistently, not just produce code. I focus on backend systems, data integration, and software architecture that helps companies move faster with fewer failures and less maintenance overhead. For me, good engineering is not only about code quality, but also about making software economically useful and sustainable in the long run.
I enjoy the part of engineering where architecture meets reality: messy constraints, legacy code, performance bottlenecks, integration problems, and business rules that don’t fit into neat examples. That’s usually where the real work is - and where careful design pays off.
I’ve spent much of my career working on long-lived business software, which taught me to value clarity over novelty and outcomes over fashion. I use modern tools and practices, but my priority is always the same: help teams deliver stable systems that keep delivering value over time.
I also post and follow software-related topics on Bluesky, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter).
